Brembo don’t sell their GT calipers separately outside of their combined brake kits, and also they don’t supply them in a raw unpainted state like I have seen on some of the pics here.

Not knocking the kit, it’s a fantastic looking solution - just interested in the calipers, I am actually looking for some GT4 rear calipers. Perhaps you can help supply only the calipers?
we can figure something out, I strip the calipers paint and clean them, sometimes media blast them if needed then paint and rebuild, shoot me a DM

Hey Chris-

I'm getting ready to bring my calipers to powder coat to get them all redone, and was wondering about rebuild kits/what's needed/etc... Also, thinking about it, powder coat ovens are at 400*F... Calipers under heavy braking can easily get hotter than that.... is it really necessary to strip them down for powder and then just rebuild. Can't we just mask them well and send it?!

Anyway, could use some info on rebuild kits (OEM F85 front and your rears) if you have them! Feel free to DM if you'd prefer.

Thanks bud!

IMO, its not so much the temp that is the issue. its the prep and media blasting. you will inevitably get media inside the calipers... lived it.

Ahh yes, that actually makes more sense... They will need to be blasted clean anyway to remove the factory blue on my fronts, and the red paint done on the rears...

Yup. You have to clean out the calipers really well after. There is always media caked up inside.

Powdercoating is not the best method for calipers. OEM finishes are always wet paint.

Calipers under standard/severe use never get that hot, worst they get pretty hot to the touch thats about it. But you do need to completely strip the caliper for powdercoating because seals will get damaged during baking cycle. Also as far as i know no factory calipers come powdercoated, i own brembos and wilwood and had experience with apracing. In 4 years that i been working with different brake systems many of my customers live in harsh climate and obuse their vehicles daily, so far had 0 issues with standard automotive paint

yes, exactly what I did per your recommendation Kris. Did a new front sensor but kept rear since it was never worn down/triggered at stage 1…
