For those that have applied tinted film over the front amber reflectors

Did you take them out of the bumper (how is that done?), or did you apply the film and carefully cut it around the reflector?

Yes, but they are held in by rivets, not screws. You'll need to drill/break them off and get a rivet tool. Not sure why BMW went this route. Seems very unnecessary. My old e92 was very simple.

I did apply some dark exterior tint/film to my reflectors, but if headlights hit them, they will still reflect. In the daylight, they look blacked out. I cleaned the reflector with isopropyl Alcohol and applied the film. With a fresh single edge razor blade, I stuck the blade in the gap and carefully cut around the perimeter. I then pulled off the excess and it looks great!! No need to remove anything, just have some patience.
