New F85 X5M wheels

How hot are the new 21" 612M wheels. Finally they get it right. Anyone have news on when these wheels will be available to order? My M50D arrives in January and I was going to put 310M wheels on but want these. Local dealer said they are not on the system yet.

Thanks.

Thanks very much, it was on the UK website that i saw them. I sent the pic to my dealer today. Hope they're available December or January so i can swap them for the standard 20" that come on the M50D.

That looks exactly like my M50D arriving in Jan. Its (Individual colour) Azurite black, haven't seen one in that colour yet as it was only made available for MY15.

Love those wheels...I might have to consider a swap too. They look like larger versions of the 469.

Azurite Black

One thing that these wheels may be too aggressive offset on a non M X5/6

Looks too much like an F10 M5 wheel to me.

I would have preferred a 21" black or very dark version of the style 469's with something edgy about them. Still a cool wheel though.

On second thought, with all the awesome angles I think something more like this M6 wheel would have looked better.

Essentially BMW builds off of a similar wheel and just adds or deletes a color/shape within that wheel. Look at the background of the 433M (M6) wheel. It has the same thick 5 spoke base as the 612M wheel.

Thats what I really like about 612M wheels, the deep concave and minimal fuss, lets you see the huge blue callipers and massive disks. Hope they fit my M50d when it arrives. The dealership said the offset "may" only allow them to fit true M cars. Its never been that way in the past so hope it will be ok!

Taking a look at what people are saying on this board and a few others. One thing I haven't seen anyone comment on is the fact that there is going to be another 21" tire to choose from that is Michelin Pilot. Previous only Dunlop and Pirelli runflats were available in the stock size.

NOTE: This Michelin on the X5M is being broadcast as NOT runflat! Funny that BMW is pushing this.

Just curious, did you ever fitted those X5M 612 wheels?

When I look at the specs of the original 468M en the 612 they have minimal differences, even the offset in the rear is only 1 mm off. So they will fit, but I wondered if you bought them?

If yes, will you share a picture?
