Dealer and Delivery Experience

Gents,

After following this forum for the last 2 months I have finally decided to join

I enjoy reading it a lot and it does look like the right place to exchange opinions.

After having a test drive early October I just couldnt say No.... I have found the car to be absolutely astonishing. This thing does accelarte well. Not to mention the rest of the package. To me it was pretty perfect. Great performance and.....a normal boot!

I have ordered my M3 at a dealer in Frankfurt early October 2007. Spec as follows:

AW
Novillo Black
19's
EDC
Navi Pro
M Drive
Adaptive Headilights
Carbon Leather
CD Changer
USB
DAB
Light Package
Logic 7 Audio System
...

Delivery date has been set to February 2008.

Now, the question I would like to ask you is about your experience with delivery dates in Europe?
Have your cars arrived as scheduled? Were there any delays? If so, how long did that take?

Is it reasonable to expect delivery on time or they are always somehow delayed?

Obviously I would like to get my hands on it as quickly as possible.

I was also calling my dealer to inquire about the tires but they couldnt tell me if these are going to be PS or Cup.... It seems to be known only once the car arrives. Is that normal?

Appreciate your comments.

Welcome.

I was told I would get my car around 20th December (week 51 he said) but my dealer called me up at about 28th of November to let me know that I could take delivery at Dec 5th. Which means that I got it more that 2 weeks earlier.

I know you'll enjoy your car, best of luck!

Ours has arrived 2 weeks in advance, originally it should have arrived on the 3rd week of January, but it's already at the dealers since yesterday

Could have had mine on 15 October 07 but as I was on holiday collected it on 28 October 07; again around 2 weeks earlier than expected.
