M3 cloth seats ?

hey whats up guys. well with the pricing finally released and with that guesstimated options pricing list, i have been trying to crunch some numbers and see what options i may or may not need. i am a little confused about the seeats though. i read earlier today that base they come with "cloth". i am a little confused and i was wondering if someone actually has a pic of what those seats look like. also i guess the M3 does not have the leatherette option ?? furthermore, must you purchase the premium pkg. in order to opt for the leather ??

thx for any input

i understand the logic behind that. i also would understand clotch seats in a warmer region of the world or the country since leather in summer weather is not the most suitable. i was just wondering about some visuals. thx for the info

Lots of discussion about and pics of the Speed Cloth.

I'd post links for ya, but don't have them handy.

Also, no, no leatherette option in the M3, and no you don't have to buy Premium Pkg to get leather, its available stand alone.

I do think that leather is a good option. It's easier to maintain, improves the resale value, lasts longer, etc...

you're probably right...i was just wondering what the cloth looked like and also if i can purchase leather as a stand alone option (which i was told i can) so i probably will opt for saddle

Saddle? What you talking about? Saddle isn't available on the M3.

I haven't seen any good ones. You can configure one on a European site, but the image is not real clear or representative, I think. Imagine the above photo without the green tint. BMW cloth is typically high quality and this ones looks discrete. Too bad it's not Leather/Alcantara.

Would have looked nicer if the bolsters were Suede and it had a bit more M-stripe in the cloth.

However I would still go for leather I think that cloth willshow wear and tear like die running from jeans or fading etc. Also leather gives it more comfort and a more classy look.

However the M3 combo is black with charcoal, not gray, right? Looks like those photos are overexposed.

Take a look at any 5 year old car with leather versus any off the shelf Japanese sedan and the leather looks like hell in comparison to what it looked like new. Leather takes lots more care to keep looking new, matte, uncracked, unwrinkled and supple over time. The cloth seats in my old Jetta looked like new with a shampoo and vac.

Anyone know if the cloth/leather base interior has leather clad door armrests and pull handles like a leather optioned car?

Resale value hell...they'll be burrying me in the car! LOL ~ I don't buy think that much about resale values but enjoyment and how much I will personally use the options. When younger I never got automatics or cruise control and at one time A/C as I never used them but maybe 1-5% of the time. Now as I am older and with kids 6 y/o and 8 y/o then I choose things like cruise control (so I can referee the back seat fights and such) and A/C. But with kids and dogs...hmm the cloth lookes and sounds better and better.

How easy is it clean? Anybody know? Anymore pics out there?
