Front Seatback Ambient Light

Hi,

I recently noticed that the ambient lights in the back of the front seats in my car don't turn blue when I have all the lighting set to blue. It stays white. When I change it to orange it changes to orange so I'm thinking that it should in fact be turning blue.

Is anyone able to please check this on their vehicle before I take it to the dealer?

Also, do the rear footwells have ambient lighting as well?

You are not having any issues my 2015 X6 //M-Sport is showing the same thing. White is on for both white and blue and orange displays orange.

Something new every day, I was not aware that there are lights on the back of the front seats!

No worries i just saw the post and was curious now a bit disappointed that it does not light blue.

I believe it only comes with the optics lighting package. Which adds the door optic lights around all the doors and trims. White is hard to see during the day but you can see the optics in blue and orange.

We have lights back there? I have to let someone else drive my vehicle one day for a change so I can enjoy the vehicle the way they do.. I remember taking a few pictures but did not notice them. Are they standard with all trims?

I believe they are standard for the U.S. market, not sure about others.

I am not 100% sure but i believe it comes with the Ambiance Lighting Package which has the optic lighting around the whole cabin which also gives you the system that allows you to change the cabin colors.

That is standard in the US.

There are also two LED lights up by the sunroof controls that correspond with the light strips on the back of the seats. These lights shine down by the gear shifter area.

You are correct i have not paid attention to them and there is no blue available in those either, just white or orange.

This is news to me too. Never knew we had lights in that spot. I was just wondering the other day why that trim was even there lol

I noticed tonight that they are also in the foot wells and these do have blue orange and white.
