Pre-build teaser pic

This is part of the build I have coming up..

JB4 connect kit - Rev 3 - nGroove Snap 3 - Ipad Air 2 (soon to be replaced with whatever new Ipad Mini they come out with) And the JB4 Ipad app is on but not configured.

This will all be installed in the CD slot of the car. And the JB4 connect kit is 100% maintained in the engine bay, woot! Ipaid air 2 has multi tasking so I can flip between this and waze for speed camera/etc detection.

Can't wait to install!

I was going to do the same thing but didn't want the tablet hanging from the dash.. so I permanently installed a Nexus 7 tablet in an OEM housing

Very nice man! If i didn't have the idrive, that would've been my option.

Also with an ipad air, the weight makes it wobble. With an iphone or ipad mini its stable as. So it's not bad + its within reach so I don't need to lean to change or flick through stuff.

Yeah I wish trapster was still going.. I love waze, got me out of many traffic jams, saved me from fines, and I've found new faster routes. I learnt about waze due to living in LA and LA traffic being bad. Many uber drivers use it to get around the traffic. I decided to give it a go now that i'm living in Sydney and am loving it, it works!

I just wish more people were using it so we could get more mobile speed camera and cops pin pointed on the maps!

Yup perfect fit. I was a bit hesitant to tighten it too tight but I have and it fits well and very stable.

Did you consider the Mountek Snap+ ? It's a heavy duty version with metal blades and that has 25% more magnetic strength than the Snap 3 so it's supposed to be more suitable for larger devices. I know you said that you're going replace the iPad with the new iPad mini but I think I'd feel more comfortable with the extra holding strength, particular during extreme acceleration, track days, etc.

Yes I did but I wanted a clean and subtle look and use.

How does the Snap+ differ to the Snap 3? They looked the same to me from photos and video.

Great! Since you'll have both, it'll be interesting to see how you think they compare to each other.
