Squeaky clean and nice view of DTSD. Great to see another 50i owner!

Your Msport looks stunningly clean! Do you have plans for mods?
Congrats on your purchase and enjoy it in good health!

Looks great. I love the different shades of color shown by CB depending on the light.

Doesn't get better than that. Carbon black is one of the nicest colors from BMW if you take the time to maintain it.

Nicely done man...love that colour, just so hard to keep it looking that good in areas with rain/snow. The sun really brings out the metallic and the almost 'blue' shades.

It's amazing how that color projects different shades of black/blue in different light.

Nice car and great pictures! I have carbon black also, love the color. It's very unique.
Just curious, did you do any modding yet? I notice you have platinum color grille and your lower right grill is half open. Because I have black grill from factory and my lower part is fully closed. Wonder if that's only standard on 50i ? I have 35D

The 35d's have both grilles closed, since the intercooler lies in the center. The DEF tank resides behind the passenger side grille.

Thanks! Detailing definitely takes time. I didn't keep track of how many hours I spent, but it definitely took a good chunk of time. Honestly, the process could garner its own thread...

Congrats on your purchase and enjoy it in good health!
Thanks! I'm not sure yet with regards to mods. I kindof want black kidney grills, but I'm not sure if I want double slat or not; or if I want a black ring or chrome ring with black slats. I'm afraid that if I start, I won't know where to stop. Something about keeping it OEM and clean is appealing. However, if BMW decides to make an MPPK and MPE for the 50i, I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

Thanks Alan! I was actually looking to purchase a white one initially; but when I saw Carbon Black in person, I fell in love with it. Although, when I see pictures of your car, it makes me think that I should have gone for white!

Thanks guys! I initially was thinking that I didn't want to deal with the maintenance of a black car, but the characteristics of this particular color changed my mind.

Thanks! It really is a unique color, and happy to see another carbon black owner!

To answer your question, nope, no exterior mods yet.

True. I think the name is misleading to most people. In the sun, the color is actually quite blue! But in the shadows , it's very dark.
I almost bought a space grey, then we went out to the lot and saw a carbon black 6 series, I was pretty much sold.

Thanks! I love the depth of the color as well; but I do believe that the car owns me rather than I own the car.
