Tires load index
An M Sport 20" wheels have load index 106 Front, 110 Rear.
Are these important when buying new tires? Can I go with 106 or 107 in both front and rear? |

The load indexes are important if you are loading the car up with stuff. The difference in load capacity per tire from a 110 to a 107 for example, is approximately 200 lbs. so you are sacrificing the tire's ability to carry that load if you choose to go that route. If this difference was on a general passenger car, it's probably not a big deal. But on a big SUV like the X5, I'd probably want to have the higher load rating just for peace of mind.
