Acoustic beep

Help please. In my idrive settings I have to checked box for acoustic beep when locking doors but still there is no audible beep when I lock the doors. Am I missing something?

No All doors are closed. When I hit the lock button on key fob the doors lock but the truck doesn't beep

Was it even beeping before? I'm just asking because I coded the beep out and if you are not the first owner it might be just coded out. The speaker itself is located in the back trunk area near fuse box.
Also, try pressing panic button for car to start panicking lol - it might reset the system after that and beep might come back.

No it's doesn't beep either when locking or unlocking

If I had to guess I'd say no previous owner did not code. He was a middle aged man. I did code the car as soon as I got it. Maybe I tuned if off accidentally and just don't remember lol

This issue popped up for me today. Acoustic has worked for 2 years, but stopped today.

Lights flash and doors lock but no sound.

checked coding with bimmercode and everything seems in order. I had not been in bimmercode for a couple months so no recent changes.

Thoughts?

OP, did you get yours fixed?

OP, did you get yours fixed?

Have you checked to see if the alarm siren is working at all? If not, some quick suggestions would be to use the PANIC button on the remote to see if the siren is working. Then proceed from there. If the siren works, then it can be ruled out as the culprit and I would then check the communication/connections...could it be a control module or communication line to the alarm siren that is compromised.

Yes - alarm siren works

Ran entire coding again and no beeps

Exactly, I too am a middle aged man and have coded mine as well. I've also been clocked skiing down a hill at 57mph, middle age is the new 20.

Did you scan it for codes? With a scanner that gives you information on all modules?
Also when you lock it look at the red light under the rearview mirror. See if it gives you any type of fault indication.

I had a similar issue when I bought my car. And the whole siren module which is behind the rear bumper on passenger side had to be replaced.

Was this issue ever resolved? And if so, what was it? I'm experiencing a similar issue but when I lock my door's the "clown nose" blinks 20 times totaling out to 10 seconds.

If you are getting fast flashing then it slows down...as mentioned in the info above (and see info below)...you have a monitor staying open.

The DWA (anti-theft alarm siren system) monitors would be the door handles, the hood, trunk, tilt and motion sensors (the latter two, I believe, are now built into the alarm siren):
