X5 F15 EUR tail lights conversion to US version

hello guy's,

can anyone help with coding US tail lights to F15 EUR version, or any information about this conversion?

after I mounted US tail light on the car (connectors was plug&play) I have output left & right brake light faulty.

I changed back original tail lights on the car till I will find a way to work 100% correctly.

You probably have the same issue we have converting from us to euro spec. The wiring pinout/ layout is different and you would have to run an extra set of wires to make the US spec work, along with coding. Someone has done it but I was never able to find the process or coding required. All that was mentioned was that it was too difficult to convert. Out of curiosity do you have a picture of your wiring connector(s)?

Are you replacing euro tails with US tails? Why? Euro are more desirable with the amber turn, no?

Did you install the US spec light switch as well?

at this moment I don't have any picture, till Monday I'm out of country, but I will take some photos to try to make it work with community help.

Yes, I want to replace it, I like RED turn signal, but are difference between EUR version and US version at pin's installation.

No, I have not installed. I have Night Vision w Pedestrian detection and Dynamic spot light, and on switch, it's only rear fog light. I think US switch have rear fog light, NO?

No, the US doesn't have rear fog lights, only front fog lights. There was a member on this board who switched his US tails to Euro tails and needed a Euro light switch, 2 jumper wires and needed coding as well.

Do you know or can you find that member? I can code off fog light to see what happend.

Good luck with that, I tried so hard to get the information some years back but he would just not give it to me as he said it was too hard... whatever... really wanted to get that done as well!

I done it. With some re-wiring and coding. I made it by my self, because nobody that make this kind of conversion share exactly how to...only maby if I pay 100-200 $ / €
