Sources of oil leak dripping into cat?

I just replaced the VCG on my 2014 F15 with the N55 engine and everything went right, I'm sure that the VCG is not leaking any more, however I still see smoke in the engine area, very light, not the amount of smoke when the VCG was damaged, is any other source for leaking oil on the F15 or the burning oil is the remaining oil somewhere in the engine area? Thanks in advance for your help guys !

Contrary to popular beliefs here on forum, N55 engine is essentially a n52/n54 successor and unfortunately it inherited some weak spots like VCG, OFHG (that one doesn't leak onto cats), even oil pan gasket might leak. Some residue oil leftovers might smoke a bit, but if it's continuing for more than a day or two - then you still have a leak. You need to really visually check for leaks. Either put your phone on a selfie stick as far as you can and take a pic with flashlight on and pointed towards rear of engine and down where cats sit or you'll need to pay $50 for a quick hoist lift at some local shop and try to check it from below.

P.S. I had my own share of VCG and OFHG leaks back in my e90 days and I had enough of it. Partially the reason I went with n63tu rather than n55, as n63tu is a lot more robust (due to completely different design) when it comes to gasket leaks, water-pump failures and other common inline 6-cyl "features" (I know I shouldn't rub it in, but I couldn't resist lol)

What would cause a small oil leak on the front of the engine?
