Tire question - track day friday ! !

hey guys

i have just purchased a set of 763m wheels off of a cs for my 2015 M4 in CGM

they are currently new take off and are wrapped in pilot super sports

oem sizing is as follows:
front: 255/35/19
rear: 285/30/20

i am looking to swap them out for pilot sport 4s tires

i have stock suspension

what is the best tire size to go with ?

same as OEM

or

265/35/19
295/30/20

or something else ?

Thanks !

Justin

I would run what you bought and see how the car handles, then figure out if you want to change things.

I've done 40+ track days in M4, there are so many parameters with tires alone, sort these out first, it's free.

i would rather not do that due to the fact that i won't be able to sell the tires as new if i drive on them at the track - since i am looking for PS4S tires due to better wet performance as well as more drivability, as this is my DD, it comes down to what sizing is best for max grip without rubbing and without diminished performance

I wouldn't track ps4s tires if it's your daily, that's a bad idea

I have run 9 track sessions with PS4S and daily them. I do have camber plates running front at -2.4 degrees. Run BMWCCA C/B group. Couple thousand miles and they are 7/32 to 8/32. They do fall off at the end of the session and looking at getting something for my next events end of August.

Do not waste your money buying 4S tires for track use.

It's NOT a good track tire. It's a superb street tire and it's manageable on a track but a complete waste of $$$ for track use.
