Park assistant experience/ retrofit help
Hey, planning to retrofit park assistant feature in my 2015 x5. So please share your experience about this option, as some people like it, some complaining.
As for the retrofit, my vehicle has driver assistant plus package and its look like I just need the sensors, pma module, some wiring and coding. The question is if I have to change my dsc and icm modules. So if someone has this option on their car can you please check the part number on the electric part of your dsc module under the hood( see the picture), because the part number I have does not show on realoem which one is that( Any experience and help is appreciated |

You don’t need to change icm and dsc - you control acceleration and braking during parking. All you need is PMA, sensors, wiring and coding. And some drilling.
I had parking assist on my F36 and don’t have it on F15. And don’t miss it. P.s. Car should not have active steering.

Interesting. Well, seems I was wrong and it works differently from F3x.
Check TIS for the part numbers, I don't think you will have to replace icm and dsc if you've got DA+.

that's the problem, the part number for my dsc does not shows up on realoem or bimmercat, and for the icm i have to disassemble the center console(((, so asking forum members who has parking assistant to check the part number of the dsc ecu.

Honestly, don't bother. It's not worth the effort. You can personally park the car much better and faster, let alone the fact, that this system is inferior to much cheaper brands. For example, one of my other cars, 2016 VW Caddy panel van has more options, parks faster and is more effective.

I just checked my icm number and it’s regular v4.7 (not high 5.7). Was able to see the number just behind the passenger side carpeted piece of the center console. And still it looks like dsc acc and high icm are needed, as I found dsc acc pump on eBay and when I checked the vehicle options it was removed from, it had only park assistant with driver assistant plus package. No acc stop and go(

Thanks for posting, can you make a picture of the part numbers of your dsc module? Just want to verify if you have dsc premium or dsc premium acc control unit attached to the abs pump.
