2016 or 2017 X5M

Hi all, I'm looking for a X5M after my current lease is up. Question is their any differences between the 2016 and 2017? I did read somewhere awhile ago that the apple car play is updated on the 2017. Let me know your thoughts, thanks and appreciate it

I went with a 17 for that exact reason and boy am I glad I did. The apple car play is great and I use it all the time. It instantly sets up as soon as I get in the car and I never touch my phone - evenput it in the center box to charge wirelessly if I need to. Not sure how good the apple car play add-ons for the 16s are, but I would definitely recommend a 17.

I have 16 as well - how well those the MMI unit works? Would you recommend?

I've had my '17 X6M for 3 years and I didn't know the '17s have wireless charging. Could you share a picture please?

It was an option. It's a sleeve under the armrest. The blue light indicates it's charging.

Same here - it is huge and almost feels like you are in a convertible

I just pulled the trigger on a ‘17 F85 for a number of reasons, but the CarPlay was a nice touch.

So, I take it back. Just noticed today the small one does tilt up when the large one is up. Never listen to a guy who's only had his car for a month.
