F15 35d cel.
So first off I just purchased this truck last week and wow! Beautiful truck and crazy economy.
It has 108 K KM ( 67K Miles ) On the freeway 2 days ago a CEL popped up. No message in the computer. Got home scanned it with a generic obd2 app P02D7 - Cylinder 6 fuel injector offset learning at max limit. I deleted the code. Drove it for a day and it came back. Now the car drives perfect, no stutter, no hesitation. Anyone have any idea ( I hears maybe resetting adaptations ) or is it already time to get a new injector? |

Likely needs a new injector. I recently had 2 of ours replaced. Didn't feel/notice any real driveability issues either, but did note it felt better after the replacement.
You don't say what year yours is but '16 and '17 have an extended injector warranty here in the States. Not sure about north of the border. Ours unfortunately was not covered as it's a 2015. |

I don't have a link...but if you do a google/internet search using some key words or a key phrase like...BMW N63T Fuel Injector extended warranty ... you should find past threads and discussions that may give you the info you need.
Good luck.

Try running some hotshots extreme in your tank. See if that makes a difference first before you replace the injector, also how many miles on the fuel filter ?

I don't think that would apply to him since he's on the N57 diesel platform.

Be careful using additives. I've heard some dealerships will test for additives in the event of a HPFP failure. That is also covered up to 120,000 miles. But they void it if they discover any additives. That's only from what I've read... so take that with a grain of salt.
Attached is the most recent (updated late last year to add vehicles) injector recall for the N57. I had 2 injectors replaced out of pocket by the dealership in hopes the MY 2015 gets added to this SIB for the warranty extension. |

I read it in a few of the HPFP issues I was reading when we were looking for the F15. There are threads on multiple forums across multiple chassis relating to the HPFP grenading and then the entire fuel system needing to be replaced. In most of the cases I was reading BMW would first take a fuel sample too look for metal contamination and also for additives. But again, that's just what I remember reading because I was also considering additives to extend the Bosch HPFP service life after reading about so many failures... so do some research. I stopped considering additives once I saw the extended pump warranty SIB as I didn't think it was worth the risk of voiding.
