Hey, real newbie questions here. 2017 F85. Just reviewing my window sticker and such to provide info for a new insurance quote. My rig is under BMW CPO warranty through end of this month. Then I have an Allstate CPO Wrap taking over after that.

I realize that there are some features I'm not using that might be useful for me now or soon. I could use a quick "tutorial" on the technology available to me within my vehicle.

1) I am not techie and I just want to know how to make sure that I have the latest software and firmware with RTTI, etc. My rig is in for a 50K service and I asked the dealer to make sure I'm updated. But is this enough or is there more to it?

2) How can I make full use of the Executive Package with the WiFi hotspot? Does my vehicle already have WiFI? Or do I need to sign up for some kind of WiFi service? Can I add my vehicle to my Verizon Wireless mobile plan?

3) Where is the wireless charger in our vehicles?

4) Anything else you can think of that you use and might also help me?

I believe the WiFi needs to be set up through ATT. Is your vehicle a 2017 or 2018 I assume?

If u have the wireless charger it is inside the center console. There is a plastic sleeve that u slide your phone into.

My window sticker says I have the wireless charger, but I need to double-check and see if there is a sleeve because I haven't seen one.

For the first 3 months of owning our 18' X5M my wife used that sleeve to hold cash. Eventually we found out it was a phone charger.

It will not work with Apple leather cover on iPhone 6, 8+, 12 mini or 12, so I use it for credit and gas cards ( pay $40 for $50 gas at pump)
