Ohlins rear preload at full droop

I have my ohlins set at the recommended 37mm spring and 223mm shock. When car is lifted and suspension is at full droop, the spring doesn't seem to be preloaded/compressed. It's not enough to come out but I can move it slightly. Is that okay?

I'm use too compressing the spring 5mm and adjusting the shock to the proper length for coils such as BC

You should shorten the shock body adjuster until the spring has a bit of preload, I think the manual that comes with the E9x M3 Road & Track kit is the old style manual that is not too specific but you should aim for 3-5mm of preload on the rear spring when at full droop after you set the spring length to give you the ride height you are happy with. Adjust the ride height using the adjuster on the rear spring itself. After ride height setting is finalized, lift the car up and shorten the shock body until the rear spring is preloaded by that amount at full droop and it can never fall out or drop down.
