Normal tire pressure?

Quick question for you guys, I had my winter tires thrown on at a bmw dealer near me and they filled my tires to 48 front 50 rear. They also did this when I got a new set of summers to the same psi 48f 50r, my question is that the right spec?? In the summer I lowered them down the 36 f and r. But this is the second time am I missing something? I asked them they said they inflated them to spec? Thanks in advanced

Sounds like they’re inflating them to max pressure on door jam for extended high speed running with lotsa passengers or something lol

I don’t run winter tires but I’d think same pressure as normal. I run 38fr/rr normally

What size tires/wheels…18/19/20/21 inches? Is the tire inflation label missing from your driver’s door jamb? If so, there’s also a tire pressure chart in the owners manual. You can use that recommendation for what ever size tires/wheels you have (cold)…then adjust based on your personal preference.

Thanks for the reply, the door jam is still there, they are the 285/40/20s which makes me even question their 50psi even more lol. I went ahead and just lowered them to all 38 and I’ll prob do the same for the summers too. Still can’t imagine their reasoning for the 50 lmao thank you for the pics and reply!
