POLL: What will the dealership say about my comfort access?
Here's my problem:
I walk up to the car with the key in my pocket.. comfort access doesn't work 90% of the time. After comfort access doesn't work (putting my finger on the door handle) I remove the key from my pocket and press the unlock button. I usually have to press the button 4-5 times. I sit in the car with the key in my pocket.. it won't recognize the key 90% of the time and I have to dig it out of my pocket and plug it in. I replaced the key fob battery twice using two different brands. I hate to complain but I paid $46k for this car only to put up with this issue since around the end of May. It's a minor issue but you deal with it every time you get in and out of the car. I'm finally dropping the car off at the dealership November 7th. Which of the following will they say: 1) Caused by Huper Optik window film. 2) Normal operation.. "it worked fine for us." 3) They'll install new fob battery. 4) The problem is actually fixed.

I just did some testing. I've been out of town so the car sat in the garage all weekend. I normally use keyfob #2 and keep #1 as a spare. I've replaced the battery in fob #2 twice.
I took fob #2 out to the garage. The driver's door didn't unlock when I placed my hand on the door handle. I tried it a few times with no luck. After pulling on the handle a few times it finally unlocked, as usual. I went back into the house and grabbed fob #1. I left #2 in the house and took #1 out to the car.. It worked perfectly! OK.. that told me it could be the battery in #2. I swapped batteries between the two fobs. Using the battery from #1, fob #2 worked perfectly with unlocking/locking the doors with a hand on the handle. I was even able to lock/unlock the car using the buttons from more than 20 yards away. The real confirmation was if fob #1 didn't work using fob #2's battery. I took fob #1 out there (using fob #2's battery) and it worked fine. So much for the scientific approach. I'm driving to lunch in a few minutes so I'll test fob #2 in normal driving situations.

Yea, it's funny until it happens with your car.
For example, you take some guys to lunch and they've all walked into the restaurant by the time you can get your doors to lock.

You don't have Comfort Access. It is from your imagination.
