Brakes squeaking

Has anyone been having any trouble with their brakes? I have taken my car to the dealership twice and both times they have told me there is nothing wrong.

I realize that dirt can cause some of the noise and all that takes is some cleaning. They have cleaned them out twice.

I have been washing my own car and have been using a wheel degreaser. I'm starting to think using it might be contributing to the problem. Does anyone recommend an alternative to clean the wheels?

Same problem here... Dealer told me that they were glazed and to brake hard a few times to scrub them... Didn't work... Service Advisor is looking into problem... Something is up here.

I had a problem with that too. I took it in and they found that my brakes (front) needed to be bled. They said that the front rotors were beginning to show some signs of 'glazing' and that this was because there wasn't enough pressure on the front brakes under normal braking due to air in the line and that the rear brakes were doing most of the job. They bled it, re-checked it and test drove it. All done in just over 1hr, no problems ever since. Hope that helps, maybe you have the same issue.

Let me know what you guys hear back from the dealer. I find it strange that the breaks would squeak on a new car.
I can't stand hearing my brakes squeak!!!

Are you noticing any loss of brake performance?

If not, I'd be inclined to write this up as the price of having a performance car with performance brakes....

Thanks. I'll pass this on to my Service Advisor. He is very good and would find this helpful.

I am having the same problem. Only started in cold weather. Only when breaking slow. I heard it going into my garage and leaving my driveway.

How did you guys make on out this one?

Garage List
Went to the dealer yesterday. They said there was a lot of dust buildup on the calipers and around the pads, wich caused the metallic noise when slow stopping. They removed the dust, lubricate the pads and even shaved the pad edges so the noise won't come back.
All under warranty of course.

Let's see how long it will take before the dust will come back

^^ I wonder if just firing some compressed air into that whole area would knock out that dust????
