Brake look normal?
Okay I know almost nothing about cars, as will be evident with this question: My 2011 E92's rear brakes look like this pic. I was putting a little air in the tires today and noticed that it looks like a cover or something is missing. Did somebody rip these off my car, or is this the way they look? It looks like a cover or something should be over the bare metal area, but I can't tell. Both rear brakes look like this, and the fronts look different. Any thoughts?

Thats how mine look too. I was thinking that for the money, they look like shit compared to upgraded Brembos, or OEM Ferrari/etc stuff.

It looks like you have some paint coming off there... The area in the lower middle portion of the image... Am I seeing this correctly?

The fronts have a new design of the retainer spring, which has a covering plate. Your rears are fine, not to worry.
