Pure White Halos
Hey guys,
I got my pure white HID halos installed this weekend and thought I'd post a few pics for you guys to see. I'm running 8000K. The install was done by MotorCepts in Queens NY (347-644-5363). |

8000k actually has a hint of blue in it, 6000k would be pure white. Nice pics though, I am running 8000k as well.

I wouldn't install HID halos if you paid me. They all yellow the halo rings. Just a warning.

Going on 5 months.
I normally wash the car up...at least once a week...and have been making a point to inspect the halos when I do. So far...they still look as clear as the day I picked it up.

5 months isn't long enough... They will yellow in about a year probably, especially if you always have them on.
Anyway, back on topic, the lights look good man.

HID's will cause yellowing and browning. My fogs have had HID's in them for the past 3 years, and since I turn mine on alot, my fogs not only have a yellowish lens, but are even browning in some areas. In a foglight, where the housing doesn't cost much, this might not be a big deal, but in a headlight that costs ~$1000 each, id never take the risk for some overly bright angel eyes. Stick with LED's or halogen bulbs.
