Great post. WRT to RPM, that would have to be the compressor's own RPM independent from the engine RPM as far as I know, as I believe the AC is operate with an electric motor and not with a belt (I could be wrong, but recall reading this somewhere, and that is how the steering is designed as well). I know the compressor is retarded considerably in EcoPro.

I have had the car in the high 90s, and it took a few minutes longer to cool than hoped after it was parked in the sun, but then it was able to maintain temperature well.
