Too me the blue hue presented looks overpowering as the x5 has a lot of body mass.
Firstly, I like the frozen/matte look on M cars. Unsure how that would look like on the x5 with more surface area. Both Satin Grey & Chrome Matte obviously look great on the sports car with more flowing smooth lines. If you think the matt look is ok on X5 then to me the Chrome Matte pic 6 of the Aston Martin has the matte/frozen look, otherwise Satin Grey. Also Chrome Matte just looks sharper a more distinct look, gets my vote. Poll is 14 to 10, sounds like the elections, and soon the winner is.... |

Should be us thanking you for all your time and expeditious help.
For sure, I like the carbon contrast to mix it up. I didn't even notice the detail in the pic, you have good eyes. Subtlety is nice. Great suggestion by CY07. Last edited by barcelona; 10-26-2014 at 08:56 AM.. |

Thank you, my friend . I was helped by all of you with your advice and feedback - I would have been stuck on what to choose without it, lol. This project was definitely worth the wait. Yeah, it's in the shop. I did the CF steering wheel with my friend last week. I dropped it off Saturday night for the wrapping and went by today to check on it. The interior CF is almost all finished. I think that should be done tonight or tomorrow morning. Then he will wrap with the Satin Chrome exterior, powdercoat the brakes satin/metallic blue, and custom cut my door sills with sky blue illuminated LEDs (added this project today). It should be done by Monday or Tuesday hopefully. I will post pictures upon completion .

I hope that's the country Singapore and not his new girlfriend, otherwise talk about spilling the beans.. Not that Mrs. MB visits the 'post or anything but interwebs have ears.. @opasha, I sure hope you took enough Before shots because that ride will be unrecognizable in a good way once done. Every time I see this thread I expect to see "she's ready"... I am curious how they wrap around the sun roof?

My thread here (http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=974651) has enough pictures for me not to forget what it looks like . In a few days I will go again to hang out and check it out - I'm sure by then, the exterior will be underway. I'll ask about the sunroof wrapping and let you know. The waiting game is so hard, lol. I now know "a tiny bit" what it feels like for those of you have ordered and waited for your vehicles to arrive.

It's like waiting for your baby to be born, I think ordering a new BMW and keeping a track of it's progress, being able to call them and ask "what are they doing right now" and get an answer (no matter how inaccurate it is) login to my BMW, etc... are some of the most pleasurable experiences one can have, although some people don't care, if they are one of those, too bad they don't get to enjoy it as much. I think I've been spoiled by BMW's order flexibility, and I was surprised how Mercedes sales man insisted that he will find me a very suitable match and that ordering is not advisable.... Ummm OhhhKay... Then, you get the call, or email.. "Your BMW is here"..
