One draw back of all M3U files and iDrive are that they cannot handle nested playlists. in iTunes I can have "Matt's List", and within, more sub lists. There is a desktop/laptop solution for what you want in iTunes, but it is not portable, except to your phone/ipod touch. |

Thank you. You are new here, as am I. I am merely trying to do a 1/5th as much as what others do in this forum. Be prepared to very impressed, especially by those who are coding specialists, sharing information and knowledge that almost everyone charges for.

Sorry about this. It has worked for me without any issues. In the bottom of the screen shots see "Music Files to Include. Select that and in there select DRM files as well. Unfortunately my house is under construction and I cannot access the app myself for several more weeks. I know for a fact that one of the options allows this and just today I listened to DRM file on the thumb drive I made with the app, and I am pretty sure it was under the Music File to Include section. Let me know.

Amazon's own brand. I use the powered hub, without using its power cable (as if non-powered). All the ports work for charging, but only one is recognized by iDrive -whichever connects first.

I am trying out Apple Music where the playlists are easy to navigate with the iDrive. This also seems not to use much data. I doubt the Apple streaming music will copy to a USB stick but so far I like what I see.

If you created a list in your iPhone, you can download all your songs to your phone, so you can listen to your music without spending any data.... |

I've only had Apple Music for two days and apparently the music that I had not purchased but put in my playlists is saved to my phone. Thanks for reminding me to check this.

MattBianco you da man! bringing this thread up for any other new x5 owners like me. one of my few annoyances so far has been figuring out how to get my playlists to play in the car. i loaded a bunch music to the hd, but i couldnt get the playlists to play how i wanted. when i connected my phone (which i hate doing anyway) the sound was too low, so i did some searching found this thread pretty quickly. got the $5 app, exported my playlists to to a 64g flash drive, plugged it in and bam! works like a charm thanks
