BMW Widgets not updating
When I check BMW Widgets, for example weather, I am getting a blank screen with my location and data error or "cannot connect" message. It was working fine as of few days ago. Is there anyway to restart the connection to BMW Online?

Mine went offline too today. I think when you have no mobile signal it takes ages to re-engage connection? The signal around motorways is hopeless so I'm not surprised.

Same in Chicago. I called SOS yesterday (because this is clearly an emergency ), and the Assist agent recommended I go to a dealer.
I'm going to wait a few days...since it's a global thing, it's very much globally fixed I suspect. |

It's standard. BMW Online Widgets is something you can configure for the split screen settings. When you activate split screen, you can use the knob to shift over to the right then click the settings icon to configure the split screen content. I have mine set to the default settings plus the widget for digital clock and weather. The split screen will show your widget and will temporarily change to show your freeway exit, if so configured, while navigating.
I like assigning Split Screen to a shortcut key so I can choose when I want to see this stuff or when I want it full screen.

Looks like they forgot to pay the cellular/SIM card bills this month.

If this is not corrected then I suppose our F15 clocks will not adjust to Daylight Savings this Sunday.

Traffic seems to be working. Does it use a different technology?

Same technology, different servers for information feed, is my guess. I too noted this morning that traffic was working (wife accused me again of wanting to take the kids to school just to driver her car). It has to be a failed link to the data host.
Traffic source is Inrix. I don't know who feeds the weather/time data. |

Confirmed that it appears to be localized to the weather data. It actually came back online for a few hours last night, but then was out again this morning.

My widgets have been good for at least two days and I am anxious to see what happens tonight with Daylight Savings since my time did not auto adjust crossing CT and ET several times in January.
