Are you thinking a pressure/tension issue with the arm or within the wiper itself.

My blades are sprung, the backbone is in like 3 parts that can articulate to fit the windscreen shape.

Like I said, never had an issue with mine unless the wipers are frozen stopping the articulation.

Has anyone else with a RHD F15 seem this wiper issue or is it isolated to LHD versions?

Fyi so long as your plates are registered with ezpass you don't need the transponder at all, at least in New England.

That's great. I couldn't find a spot that keeps it invisible from inside, it was a lot easier on E70 to hide the tag from inside and outside. How does it look from outside? Can you take a picture when you get a chance?

I don't have a front plate..
Also, at the airport, I always have to place my plate on my dash because even with EZ Pass they are required to record tag #, so in several cases the booth guy had to step out and manually write my tag number off my windshield sticker.

Can you shoot the pic for us from insides and outsides if possible?

I guess you have the new small tag like hyde posted before... Mine is the traditional one, hard to hide.

Mine are fine. But between the two threads (many reported cases on bimmerfest here) it is clear something isn't.

My guess is that it is the (mis)shape of part 2 in the diagram below, and/or poor install of parts 4 and 2.

Parts are interchangeable with the F16 only. Click on "Appliance" to see models in which the wiper system fits: http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/search/sele...27/61610039697

I'm not sure if it's going to work well here.

First of all, the gate won't lift up if the tag isn't read. More than half of tolls still use gates. Second, the possibly additional fee may be added and I won't be able to enjoy the EZ-rate.

The official website also says so.

From https://www.e-zpassny.com/en/about/terms_ind.shtml

"You must properly install your Tag in or on your vehicle pursuant to the mounting instructions provided with your Tag(s). Failure to do so may result in your Tag not being read in the lane, the gate not being raised at some facilities, and may result in a violation for which you may be assessed administrative fees or other penalties as provided by law. Failure to properly mount your Tag may also result in images being taken of your license plate to identify the registered owner and the addition of your license plate to your Account based on motor vehicle registration records. These images may be used to post toll charges at the cash rate and/or additional administrative fees to your Account."

If you mean passenger side having a kink, yes.

My car has this issue, and it is RHD.

No issues here on my F15 X5...only area the passenger wiper struggles to clear is the last 1-2" from bottom at the furthest point (tip).

That blade looks the same as mine, two sections are articulated, one at each end.

What do service say?

I haven't checked but are the blades the same length, if they are has anyone tried swapping them over so make sure it isn't a blade issue.

Has anyone tried the Bosch Icon wiper blades? I have used these on my Audi with great results. I plan to replace the crappy OEM wipers with these

same here EU spec car 2016....

design flaw I guess, the wipers are outsourced by third party sub supplier anyway.
but still, made me wonder how this could be worse on the F15 then on my previous E70

These are the wipers I purchased for the car and will be putting them on this Tuesday. Bosch ICON wipers in my experience perform a lot better over OEM in cold, sleet, rain, and snow. They also last 4-5 months longer then the 6 months on OEM wipers with Audi and BMW etc. I will update you guys on my impressions with these on the X5 with the snow this week.

Garage List
When the blades are warm. I lift them up sometimes, clean them, flex them a little, and set them back on. I think this helps.

Same issue on my '16 X5, about 6" swath in the upper right side of the passenger side wiper barely touches the windshield, leaves lots of streaks. Doesn't sound like BMW has done anything to fix this.

This is not so big problem. There is difference in adjuster of wiper. Get it changed and your problem will be solved. If want more satisfaction get it checked from auto electrician.
