Parts / Manual?

So the inevitable happened - after 2k miles, the wife clipped the garage post with the side mirror. The plastic around the mirror itself is cracked. Before I take it in to the dealership, I'd like to understand if this is something I can replace myself, but I can't seem to find the part online.

Where do you guys look for parts for a 2014? Ideally, I'd like to know how big of a piece of plastic this is, and what's involved in replacing it.

see attached PDFs for non M-Sport mirror (catalog has a separate section for that). Also photo for reference. r33 is a good source and he has reached out.

thanks guys. it looks like it's mostly part '3' on the list (which is thankfully inexpensive). i'm ok with the scuff marks, just want to replace the cracked pieces for now.

what's involved in replacing that piece?

. Luckily, it's not a hard fix. If you want to fix it yourself, let me know. I'll provide you with the side mirror install and removal instructions. You can get r33 to source it for you or you can get the part number and type in ECSTuning next to it in google. They are reliable and best at pricing so always use their price as a base when comparing to others because dealers will rip you off by $5 to $30 extra on every item. If they don't have it in stock, they source it directly from BMW in Germany just like any dealer.

oh great. looks like i have to pop off the mirror to do this (with a special too, of course).. wonder what the chances are of me breaking it in the process...
