Do you know if coding also works for X5 M50D in Belgium ? Is this the same way of working ? If so, can someone provide me with the latest bits and bytes ?

Yes, it works for the X5 M50D. It's the same platform for all F15s. PM sent .

Easy coding with Android devices. I don't think I have seen this in our threads. Could be worth its own thread:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...08&postcount=6

I suspect you don't have access to all coding functions.

My dear mr.Opasha
I live in Saudi Arabia, my maps does not show traffic information .
Do you know if I can activate it by coding?
Google map traffic work in my country, does BMW use traffic information from Google?
Thanks

You need 6AK and 6AM options activated...I am not sure if that can be coded... let's wait for Opasha

I've already read up on this. It is only able to clear codes like CLEAR ALL DTCs in ESYS Trasmitter. It cannot code anything on F chassis models, so it's pretty much useless . If it was applicable to us, I would definitely have posted it, but thanks for searching on it. You know I love shortcuts too, Niko .

I don't recall if there is an FSC coded needed for that feature, but the coding below is what activates Real Time Traffic Information:

1) HU_NBT / NAVI_TRAFFIC_INFO_MAP / nicht_aktiv to aktiv
2) HU_NBT / TI_CA_TMC / nicht_aktiv to aktiv
3) HU_NBT / TI_VINFO / nicht_aktiv to aktiv
4) HU_NBT / TI_TMC_REGIONAL / nicht_aktiv to aktiv
5) HU_NBT / TI_FALLBACK_DISABLED / nicht_aktiv to aktiv

Trojanlaw, I've added the Sport Auto Transmission and Launch Control coding to the cheat sheet .

Good to mention... Since I retrofitted NBT a month ago, I did the "Clear all DTCs" function in ESYS, and I thought it was ok...but las weekend my buddy used ISTA/P to scan my car and appeared like 6 error messages...most of them, because of disconnecting CIC cables...so, be careful if you retrofit any hardware, because the only way to clear those error codes, is using ISTA, not ESYS.

Good to know, thanks . However, you have to understand, your install was very tricky, so it's not surprising it brought up error codes like that. Regardless, your parts are all OEM, so you can't get in trouble for that.

Excellent thread opasha
I had my first attempt at the coding and I was unsuccessful Here's a little brief.
I have a 328xi 2013 model I believe it was manufactured back in 2012 september. It has both 609 and 6NH. I wish to enable EBT on the car and if possible BMW remote and BMW office apps.
I connected the ENET cable, powered up the ESYS 2.26.1 version and it connected successfully.
The FA read was successful and I saved the files.
I saved the SVT files too by reading SVT files.
Next, clicked on the CVT tree and hit red coding so that I have the built in coding info for the car.
it popped up one error as shown in the picture.
Now I'm stuck. is there anything that I missed or something that I need to fix before I can proceed further or it is none of the concern?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks

I ordered a nicely loaded 2015 X5D a week ago. I find the BMW blind spot monitor indicator (on the mirror casing) to be inferior to Mercedes ML and many other manufacturers. The Mercedes being a red light also helps as opposed to the dim yellow on a BMW. I currently have a 2013 750i M-sport and I find the blindspot indicator to be dim and just plain hard to see especially in my peripherals. Is there a way to code the indicator to be brighter?

Nope, you'd have to physically change the bulb within the mirror to a brighter LED.

Opasha, thank you for the quick reply.
Changing the bulb to something with more intensity like LED or even in colour red was something I thought of. I just don't want to take apart the mirror housing and open a can of worms so I thought coding might be a good alternative if possible. If you or someone has a parts diagram for the mirror maybe I can run that idea by my mobile audio shop.

Thanks again!
