How To Post Google Picture or Text to Forum
Use Hypersnap or Snagit or some other screen grabbing utility to capture the part of any Web screen you want to post to our forum. Save the resulting file as a JPG. Now you can post as any other picture.
Here is an example |

I have Snagit, but I usually do this :
1) Press PrtSc button at the top of your keyboard to capture whatever you are currently viewing on your screen 2) Paste it (Ctrl + V) into Paint, Gimp, or Photoshop 3) Crop however/whatever you want 4) Save as .jpg (takes up the least file size)

That works too -- Anyway that you can get it into one of the picture formats. JPG uses the least file system space

I just used postimage.org to upload it and chose the size of the png. At first I chose 1024x768 (for 17" monitors) and then thought you couldn't read it as well as yours, so I uploaded the 1280x1024 (for 19" monitors) size. I completely forgot that png is much bigger file size than jpg . Good catch, Bill . I fixed my pic from .png to .jpg. It really did upload/render much faster.

7 second limitation doesn't sound appealing.

That is for their animated GIF tool, which captures 7 seconds of onscreen video and turns into a small animated gif file The regular Gyazo tool has worked well for much of what I have posted thus far. Not very smooth for large screens or a lot of motion

Oh ok. I actually downloaded the TinyTake application, and it looks pretty well made like Snagit. My YouTube coding videos were made with SnagIt.

TinyTake is also great for snapping a screen, marking it up, and providing a link to the file. The company let's you post the image to their server for free hosting. I have been using it alot for marking up workflows and screenshots.
