In regards to coding the anti-dazzle LED lights for US cars...
From reading the forums, I understand that the coding is impossible due to hardware differences between European and other countries versus the USA on the LED lights.
The attached is my order sheet that was sent to the plant in SC for my new X5 order that I optioned out with LED lighting Pkg. Please note the second page of the PDF specifically 5AP - Decoding for No-Dazzle High beam assistance 8S4 - Variable Light Decoding Does this mean that the US hardware is the same as everyone else but it is decoded at the factory prior to releasing the car to the customers? opasha @R33, MattBianco and others what are your thoughts on the attached? If you read through the coding thread, it's possible to get VLD working via two different methods but no-dazzle seems to be tied to the EMEA hardware. You can remove 5AP from your vehicle order (to recode), the lights don't behave like the EMEA models which leads to the conclusion that there are hardware differences.

Kzang I agree with ferrarif1 re anti dazzle, 99%.
Still a 1% chance software may fix .... as a hedged statement. I am not researching the subject anymore and if somehow it is resolved, great. |

ferrarif1 I did.. it was my first choice in leather color.. however in order to get the multi-contour seats in this color choice I would need to spend additional $1,900 to get the nappa leather which I was not happy with this type of leather. So I chose the next best color - Terra

Just got Coded for Euro LEDs (I think...)
Just had my '15 35d M Sport (208 miles on it) coded and he says that #34 on the attached list is essentially the no-dazzle euro lights only slightly different from the video. I haven't tried it yet but will let you know. Highly recommend this guy "Okee" located in NY/NJ area. Yellow highlights are what he coded. Everything I have tried sitting in the garage is working like a champ.

I've done that and it's still not functioning, I also changed the vehicle code to the euro so that the car would think it was in Europe. Still didn't work

I'm still skeptical as well.. I have yet to see a clear video of the anti dazzle working properly as the famous anti-dazzle video on youtube.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.
Has anyone gotten this thing to work? I removed the two options from my VO and it seems to split the beam on some roads, but I feel like I am still blinding people (at least the person in front since the beam seems to to illuminate above the normal trunk lid line. |
