xdrive35i getting sideways in the rain

She got sideways easier than I thought. Lots of torque to back up the 5000lb beast.

If you are experimenting, try turning off DSC (dynamic stability), which turns on DTC (dynamic traction). Manual recommends this for snow....wondering how it would do on rain.

If this is a lease God help the fellow who buys this after you

Nice to know but can't say I condone this. Seems like a public road?

Hahaha not a lease but this is in "Mexico" on a public road but no one was close to me while i did it so that if I were to mess up that they would have to swerve off the road or something

Dude at the 4sec mark, right when you turned and the oversteer kicked in, you had 2 cars in you path (which you countersteered to correct). If you lost control you could have hit them (or they could have panicked and hit you).

Not cool if done intentionally....

It's hard to see in the video but one was turning right one was turning left right after I made the left.. The only way I would hit them was if I made a complete u-turn

I would never lose control to that extent

Throttle and steering control together are the main key to keeping control I got this lol this isn't my first time

Anyone still remember the M3 that jumped the curb after a spin out, and the video caused this entire site to crash due to heavy traffic?

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1075458

Eventually it made Yahoo News.

This is Long Island NY, he is turning from Prospect Ave onto Rockaway Ave, small intersection. I am waiting for another video where our pro drifter flips his X5.

That is exactly what the instructor had us do during the Performance Center delivery on the wet skidpad. Spinouts were super easy, but with DSC on I could not make the car spin no matter how hard I tried.
