How many miles do you have on your Purchased X5?
Hit 60k today on my 2014 3.5x. It was tough deciding on the V8 or V6 when purchasing but thought it would be a safer route with the V6 and so far i couldn't be any happier. Engine has been nothing by flawless.
Here is to another 60k without a hiccup. |

The new battery at every oil change with the V8 service bulletin might also get a bit pricy after warranty, so another plus for the 6!

2014 35d here...62k on the odometer. Been in the shop more than I'd like, mostly minor annoyances (has never stranded me). Major failures I've had thus far are a transmission replacement due to a failed control valve, and the turbo was replaced for a failed actuator.

Happy to hear the motor is still strong at 60k miles. That's a lot of miles you've driven in that span. Oh and the V8 is a V8, but the V6 is actually an inline 6.
Got a 2015 X5 35i (March 2015 delivery) with almost 16k miles and has not had any issues yet. |

It would be a very different motor as a V6 that's for sure.

22 months ownership, 21,000 miles, one warranty issue, one battery replacement (and I will not be changing it every other oil change when it comes out of maintenance), two dealer oil changes, two oil changes by me, two DEF fill ups.

13k miles (20,000km) for my 2015 50i X5. Quite a few visits to the repair shop, much more than I'd actually like to admit.
Change of all actuators of all 4 doors because of soft close malfunctioning at just 300km. Quick visit to the repair shop to fix my not working night vision - cable was unplugged (by itself). Repair of the drivers door because of rattle noises. Change of the steering wheel shaft at 10,000km after 3 visits to the dealership because of strange noises coming from the wheel. Oil was changed just a week ago at 19,500km for the first time. I've had my battery need re-charging in March 2015 just after 2 months of owning the truck. Luckily I've had just enough battery issues with my F10 50i and I have a BMW Approved battery charger, so just plugging it into the grid solved it.

Had an interim oil and filter service last week and is running smoothly! |

50i. August 2014.
16,500 miles. No major issues at all (besides small annoyances during the first 5,000 miles or so). Drinks up oil like there's no tomorrow.

Almost 3 months of ownership and only 1600 miles... I walk to work everyday so that has a lot to do with it. I live in downtown Columbus, OH and it's easier to just walk then fight for parking in a crappy garage. |

2015 X5 35d
Purchased in October 2014, loaded with most options, and have over 45k miles on it. I bought it for the driving experience and it has not let me down at all. No warranty issues and replaced my RFTs at 38k. I now have Michelin Premier non-RFTs on it. The ride with the original tires was very good and the new tires have made it even better.
