In Production- timeline

My 2015 X5 has been ordered and is displaying in My BMW. When I call the 800 number is says it will be completed May 2nd. Is this possible?...seems extremely fast.
How long does it typically take to get to dealer after this?

Did you order the rails in Spain aluminum? My dealer did this to my build and I had to end up wrapping them in gloss black. Ruined the whole look of my X5

It does but not with everything else in black especially on the M sport. But if you're happy with it that's what matters

Depends on where you are.. From SC to NJ it took 2 days after the car was released to the trucking company.

The actual build time is around 48Hours, but the car goes into buffer storage after each step (example after painting), so it takes a few days to complete.

Thought it automatically adds Roof Rails in Satin with M-sport, is there a way to change this? Not that it will matter because my car is on its way to the dealer (somewhere in transit)

My last X5 took about 2 weeks from production complete to be delivered to the dealer but i am in Northern Cali. Over a week with the current one, expecting it within the week

M sport is factory all gloss black. Since aluminum is a no charge option the dealers "usually" order it with them since they look better and more upscale on lighter colored F15's.

This was the explanation my dealer gave me.

It's all personal choice on how you build your rig after delivery haha My initial plan was to keep them silver but as mods came in gloss black I had to make the change.

My order was placed on the evening 4/14 and was built and finished this past Wednesday the 22nd. It should be at my dealership by Monday or Tuesday of this week. Amazingly fast build.
