Time Zone choice missing from Auto-Time
I have been moving from CT to ET over the course of the last two weeks. At no time did "Auto time set" work in terms of showing the correct time zone.
In each case, I had to deselect Auto time set so I could manually enter the correct time. Apparently it is normal to be able to select the time zone, but I have no such setting. Anyone know why I do not have this option? My build date is 11/14.

I do not know how to paste the flicker photo link here (from bimmerfest) but the photos clearly show the option of selecting a time zone. Am I the only one without this or is there a deeper setting that I am missing?

Thank you. I am using my iP waiting for my sister to have surgery and could not get copy/paste to work on your link
I called BMW Genius and was told to refresh using BMW assist and if that fails go to dealer

I am finally back home. I had to make a quick run to my BMW dealer and they had a 'genius' look at my system who was not able to resolve my issue.
Has anyone found a solution or are we still waiting on a software update?

The only solution I mentioned that might help will be to code your car or let the dealer do the same procedure. It will resync your HU_NBT (iDrive).

Found this code. But this should work without coding.
ENABLE GPS SYNC FOR CLOCK KOMBI -> 3000 -> Anzeige_Konfiguration -> GPS_UHR -> aktiv |

Sorry, but how does one do this? I have not done any coding on my F15 and am unlikely to do so while it is so new so I am lost with such references.

As I am no expert in coding myself, let's see if the experts opine favorably on the mentioned code in my prior post. |

Xeno, I'm pretty sure I sent you the coding software. You just need to buy yourself an ENET cable. I walk everyone through the coding process step by step slowly. No need to feel afraid .
Also, the code Niko showed above is supposed to be active by default. It activates your clock synchronization with the GPS as stated. If yours is deactivated for some reason, that could explain your issue. UHR in german means WATCH. So that code means GPS_WATCH.

Ah the power of opasha! There were no email notifications of any other replies than Opasha!
I am taking my 2008 X5 in tomorrow morning and will ask my SA if they can remedy this small but annoying issue for me on the 2015 X5.

All they will do is VO Code it in order to restore your KOMBI to factory settings. Hopefully that works. If not, keep me posted. You'll have a big smile on your face when you see the cool codes and features that are enabled (that should have been enabled by default since 70% of the cheet sheet is enabled by default in Europe).

This morning my X5 did auto-adjust to Daylight Savings time so I am just curious if this was true for others who like myself have trouble with auto-adjust when crossing time zones (and have not coded in a solution).
I am not yet willing to do any coding and this summer I will be driving from OK to CA which means two time zones coming and going.

I also travel frequently between time zones and my time does not auto-adjust when crossing the boundary. The time *did* automatically adjust for daylight savings.
today I had my SA check this and was told that BMW is aware of the issue, a fix is on the way. They gave non-specific info on when the fix would be available but I'd summarize it as "30 to 60 days". I was advised to use the manual settings until the update is ready. |

Are we being instructed to go to the BMW dealer in 30-60 days for a fix or will this particular issue be fixed wirelessly?

I am certain I misunderstood the SA because I thought he suggested that being connected by cable might make a difference as over against being connected from my iP via (ordinary) BT.

That just does not sound right. Why would they offer this option with EBT as it has nothing to do with a practical function they could charge for. Let's see those with no EBT and not coded chime in.

I have wanted the anti-dazzle configuration to be finalized before I think about coding my F15. So other than coding can others report if your clock automatically adjusts when crossing a time zone? If so, did this work from the start or did the dealer implement a fix or XXX?
