I have a sneaky feeling about this still waiting to see one. Funny enough the X4 is the opposite better looking in the flesh especially Xline trim still cant deal with the Msport look.

Again, all my eyes see is two giant air vents dominating the dash on the GLE.
How can I stop looking at them? It is like one of those moles from which three 6" strands of hair grow out. |

The X6 is definitely the more aggressive, muscular, sporty looking vehicle of the two. The GLE looks a bit soft and has a wagonish profile. The X6 is a no looker however, previous generation was better looking imo, however it stands out while the GLE is not.
As far as interior is concerned, the difference is colossal. The X6 is on a different level altogether. No comparison. However, this is understandable as the GLE just carries over current generation ML interior (just like the X4 carries over the X3 interior). MB engineers didn't have much leeway on that, they had to make do with an old design that bears little resemblance to current MB interior design language. Just like the X4 interior that is based on a 4 year old, overridden design language. |

In this case, however, I think the credit goes to Infiniti for establishing the sporty coupe-like SUV with the introduction of the FX in 2003, five years before BMW introduced the X6. I don't know that BMW has introduced a new market segment in over 10 years.

IMHO, the GLE looks better. It seems like it was made for the younger generation. Ages 30+ and up. The x6 on the other hand seems like it was made for the more older crowd. 40+ and up.
GLE = Young audience X6 = Mature audience

I bet that screen on the GLE does not collapse, fold, or even retract. I guess that's the new thing to do now??? LOL!
