Bluetooth disconnects phone after call
Hi,
Recently, I started having issues with my bluetooth connection. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S6 and everything was running smoothly, until two weeks ago when my device disconnected after the call had ended. The scenario repeated a couple of times since then and is driving me crazy : Basically, I place a call and when i end it via the steering wheel or the i drive knob, the phone reacts as normal and the call is terminated, but the i-drive shows that it is still on (call time is countng, etc.). After 15 seconds or so, in which neither pressing the button on the steering wheel, nor the i drive controller responds, the car finally understands that the call is done and, rather ridiculously, disconnects the device... . And, of course, it does not happen all the time. I tried everything, including unpairing and pairing back the device a couple of times, but the problem persists. Has anyone had such a problem? Thanks |

In case you have not done the update, this is the latest version, discussed here: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1091465 If you have done it, I have no idea what would cause it.
Alos, in case the update is not available for your VIN, as it is a non-North Am car, I have the downloaded file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2C...ew?usp=sharing Which I share with another user in South America. You need to transfer it to a USB, and go through iDrive to update |

MattBianco Thanks for the tip, mate
I also had an older version (attached photos from before and after. I went to bmw.com/update, placed my VIN and it allowed me to download the same file that you sent. I managed to install it without a problem and then unpaired and paired again my device. Unfortunately, the first call I placed dropped in the middle with I drive showing that the call is over, but it actually continued on my phone, so i just put the speakerphone on and finished it... To summarize, update has not fixed my problem Any other suggestions? Thanks P.S. Funny thing, the bmw.com/bluetooth has a compatibility section and when i inputted the old version of my software it shows no compatibility with my current phone (samsung galaxy s6) Last edited by sssmokie; 07-07-2015 at 06:00 AM.. |

Yes, the XML file shows compatible devices. iPhones 5s and above are not mentioned as well but work. In fact, Apple Music, just launched, works with station favorites showing up as a playlist, and even the song queued next is in HUD. I have no clue beyond this point. With iPhones some have reported better connections after signing out and back in iCloud, but that won't help you, and the procedure does not make sense. At least your album art should improve
