issue whit fuel consumtion

I'm going on a road trip to the alps in Austria, reinstalled my racechip for better fuel consumption during the trip, now when I have driven about 80 mils (European miles) I have a average fuel consumption of 1 liter per mile about 3,76 mpg in NA metrics. I'm a bit surprised because I remember I use to get like 0,7 - 0,8 mpl or 3.03 mpg NA before I installed RC. Don't now if racechip have caused sot or something on the injectors or I just remember the consumption wrong?? What are you guys getting? Should add that I been driving only highway so far in speeds of 140km/h about 87 mph

paicapo, do you really mean 3mpg, 3 miles per gallon?

Doesn't sound right to me, more like 30mpg .

I easily get 30-35 mpg (imperial gallons) in mine at highway speed (70-80mph) without having to try very hard.

So that we all speak the same efficiency numbers....:http://www.markporthouse.net/rangie/...conversion.htm

Would be great to get both of you to provide input in this thread where I am building a database of fuel efficiency by engine type and driving mode: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1081659. There is one chipped record in the data, and it is impressive.

At my current RaceChip setting, I am getting an average (the last time I looked - about a month ago) of 1 1/2 mpg less than stock. In fact, I'm very close to yours if you are talking about mixed highway and city driving. On highway driving, I have to use the cruise control at 70-75 mph to get 33-ish mpg. If I don't use cruise control and drive normally, which is 75-80 mph on highway, I get 29-30 mpg.

Posted mpg are highway only, seems a high don't you think?
At home whit RC plugged in I got about 25 mph mixed driving and now I get 26.8 whiteout RC and on highway only??? it seems RC provides better fuel consumption or there is something wrong whit my car or both
