Two toned rear bottom = standard?
On the back of the car, is the bumper black/grey no matter what the color of the X5? I'm looking to get a mineral white but want the entire rear to be the same color and no two-toned. Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

There is a difference between the lines (X Line, Lux. m sport). You should see the difference with the online configurator.

^ this. M sport is all painted (no two-tone) and I believe all others have black on the lower bumper, the lux having white diffuser over the black, x-line having aluminum diffuser, and no line I don't think has any diffuser.

The back of an X6 is always at least two-toned. There are 3 parts.
On the MSport, the upper and middle (around pipes) are black and the lower (skid plate?) is painted. On the no-line and XLine, the upper is black, the middle is painted, and the lower is titanium-colored. On dark colors, that black/paint combo on the MSport looks fine. Mine is white and it looks like a weird black belt is going across there. I wish that part around the pipes were painted like on the X5 MSport and the previous X6. I think it would look better. |
