Everything is fine now. There won't be further pictures. Exterior wrap was removed last Sunday (took 35 minutes to remove it all) because adhesive side of the satin chrome vinyl was defective (started to crack/peel away in many regions rendering the look very tacky). Thankfully, there is no damage to the Mineral White paint whatsoever. If you or anyone wraps their car, get it done with 3M or Hexis vinyl and get it done by a team of professionals that have a heated garage. Do not wrap your car in a cold environment.

Omar, you have a beautiful and powerful car. You have already done some really nice mods to it. Perhaps its time to slow down except when you take it for a rip, then fasten seat belt and enjoy.

@opasha, as many have expressed and I echo similarly, I'm so sorry that the adventure has turned out the way it has - but, I admire your indomitable spirit - you took it in your stride, and handled it with great poise and aplomb.

I'm sure I speak for many here when I say that we've learned far more than just the technical knowledge and mechanical know-how from this episode.

Your positive spirit and patience has been an inspiration.

You know we're always here to help you spend you're money, when the time comes back around.

So no detailed pics of the CF all around the rig? lol Or did I miss them because those CF shop pics weren't too swell

There was resin build up, which damaged my door panels' large LED strips. I just picked them up this week after waiting a whole month or so for them to come in from Germany. I'll be fixing that up tomorrow and will then take some interior pics (at least that stayed on).

Best of luck with your future mods if you chose to revisit them. I have to say, your car inspired me to wrap mine.

Thanks, buddy. Yours turned out great , so I don't want others to feel discouraged. It's definitely a great way to protect the original factory paint while having a cool new look .

You are modest, generous with your time, alway helpful, and very cordial. But mostly, you are very brave. I wish I was like you when I was your age. Or now.

Thanks for the many compliments, Niko . Despite these hiccups, we all learn from each other and take joy in each others' projects. That is what makes this forum so engaging and fun .

I just wanted to share why the wrap was removed. There were many areas as shown below that started peeling/cracking to the point of looking bad/tacky. I just want everyone to know for future reference when deciding on what type of wrap to get. Avoid Vvivid Vinyl. Stick with wraps that have a very high quality adhesive. Will I miss this one of a kind color? Yes. However, I still love my Mineral White .

Final Goodbye Picture:

@opasha, maybe should revisit that color change mod with Plastidip??
It still peel-able like the vinyl when you are bored, but wrap like regular paint. The downside, not to much of fancy color option.

Sorry to read Omar.
I've been waiting to see your story on the front page once it was completed.
Yeah w/my OCD, I would have gone nuts seeing that wrap peel everyday. I'm surprised you didn't just peel it off yourself...may have been therapeutic

The future seems to be taking favor in the plastidip
The pros are now mixing pearl and diff shades to make unique and better colors outstanding.
