Thanks bud . We'll all have to wait till Friday, but I'll try my best to see if I can get pics of the exterior once they start doing it.

In case the pics got lost, I've updated the OP.

Did I ever say I am not a fan of carbon fiber? I did. Yet, I love this steering wheel. Looks beautiful.

You have far more courage than the rest of us. In the other pictures I can see your car's underwear as @wobbles would agree.

I had no idea those trims popped off like that, does that mean we can easily swap trims if needed? How much would those cost?

It's going to go very good with rest of the interior.

The reason you see my center console side trim completely exposed is because the center pieces were actually screwed in. I think the front pieces were the easiest from what he told me. The door panels are a pain in the butt in how they are configured. You can see that my door panels are still in poplar in the pics. They have to be wrapped directly on the door. To take them off, the doors would have needed to be removed and partially disassembled. He said it's much easier/safer to wrap the door panels directly on.

I'm handy...just not that handy yet. I don't recommend anyone try to disassemble their doors to change the trim unless they know what they are doing. You can find the trim pieces on realoem.com. I inquired from a few places about the Hex trim - it costs almost $2000 for just the trim alone: http://www.amazon.com/Brand-2014-Hex.../dp/B00JMNLQ9K. So, def not worth it. Wrapping costs only around $400 for the entire interior.

No way $2150 just for the trim replacement, they must be insane to even try that. I'd sell the vehicle, lose $3000 to get a new one rather than try to retrofit something like that.. If for some reason my trim was burning through my retina or giving me some sort of weird skin reaction, you know, it could happen. LOL...

Exactly, lol. Makes no sense to me how these mods get so expensive, but I think that's the only way to force people to build vehicles rather than retrofit anything. Surround View isn't even that expensive when added on, but it would cost almost $6-7K to retrofit...insane.

Just an update on the progress. The exterior should be done by tomorrow or early Friday! Still waiting on the carbon fiber to be redone since we had to re-order from another company with better material after realizing that the current carbon fiber wrap was in fact not true 3k carbon fiber, which explains why it had a weird reaction with the clear coat . Hopefully, it's all done by this weekend - all depends on when the Carbon Fiber wrap comes. Stay tuned .

That looks like matte stainless steel. Looks good so far, just don't spoil it with teasers!
Would you like to buy the canvas wrap of your wrapped BMW? LOL

Yeah, I know . I just wanted to show everyone a little progress before the big photoshoot since everyone's been waiting.

Omar's coated carbon fiber trim just looks so premium now. No offense, but the non glossy CF feels cheap for some reason now there is something to compare to. Omar's trim is as close as it gets with OEM level of quality. Just look at the interior pictures of X5M.

Awesome work Omar, you are actually more M than M sport now lol.

Thanks, Wei . These pictures don't do the car justice. Once it's all finished, everyone will be able to better see everything .
