Aside from the premium look, the grip/feel of the steering wheel is the best part. I love how the turning and handling feels compared to before

i would love to get my hands on a carbon wheel like that.... and i absolutely agree and cant wait to see your finished product....if i may, what kind of clear coat was applied? and i have trim tools, but was unable to figure out how to remove the center console trim

I know what will happen. Sometime during my 20+ hour flight back home you will post the final pictures, and I will be the 50th person to say "wow...beautiful".

So, I will act like an 8 year old and preemptively write it out, knowing it will be beautiful.

Wow @Opasha, that looks beautiful. I love the the color, the reflections,....the back side looks amazing. And that carbon fiber interior, well matches what you have done with the exterior. I wish i had your handy skills and courage to rip out everything and reattach as you have. Please make a slide show and post it on YouTube.

Haha, that was very kind of you, my friend. 20 hours is a loooonog flight. I didn't realize it was that far away. The longest flight I've ever been on is 14 hours. Well, judging by everything, I don't think I'll have my car back till Monday (that's the safe day - if I get it earlier I'll be jumping for joy). It definitely took a lot longer than I had anticipated due to some hiccups and my friend's busy work schedule. Not that it helps since you'll be in the air, but I'll message you as soon as I'm ready to post the thread

Some say I should keep posting like a journal. What are your thoughts? I like the journal approach- then update the first post when you have a larger update. Keeps the conversation going. Good luck!

I was able to stop by the shop tonight to see the progress. He told me the entire Satin Chrome Exterior will be done by tomorrow. The only thing left will be the new 3K carbon fiber that is coming Monday, since the previous one sent was the wrong material (thus the chemical reaction - it wasn't true 3k carbon fiber). Everything should be done Tuesday. Hopefully I can get pictures taken that same day, but if not Wednesday they will be up for sure. Sorry for the long wait everyone, trust me I feel it too! Here's a little picture update

. My friend said tomorrow hopefully all the Satin Chrome will be done. I'll get him to send me a picture of it under some floor lamp lighting to see the effect if possible. As it gets closer, the more excited I feel. My father saw it for the first time today and why I was changing the Poplar wood. "Wood is good" - funniest thing I've heard him say

. He's never seen 3k Carbon Fiber in his life, lol. He's a very simple and humble guy. He was poking around and touching the wrap. When touching the wrap, he said it felt like the OEM Mineral White paint. I touched it and was really surprised. You can't tell it's a wrap at all when you touch it. I'm very happy/impressed with it
