6" storm today along the Green Mountains in VT. The lower elevations got less but it was very slippery. The X5 with the Blizzaks had great grip....so no complaints.

I have the 18s from my 2010 x5 they are Bridgestone run flats from the dealer and I've had no problems out here in Canada. But I couldn't use the 20inch m sport wheels they were terrible no traction.

Yep they are RFs. It was snowing here yesterday and I was nervous so when I got the call from BMW that the wheels were in I went and got them. Got them all in the back just as I did not want them fitting and storing mine. Got home just about managed to lift them out without touching the car,it was easier in the X5! Cleaned, polished and waxed then fitted them Megiuers on the tyres and today full touch up detail, snow foam 2 bucket, etc. Weather due to snow again so should see if they are any good, better be given how much!

With the OEM Goodyear Eagle LS-2 ROF tires, today is the first day for me to take a ride over the snow.
Newly fresh 2" snow in the early morning then rain. Roads are muggy and snowy mixed with sands and salts. I don't feel this car gives me the total confidence of handling I'm looking for. Maybe this is caused by this mediocre tires. |

Drove the X5 with the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Seasons again today and they reinforced my positive opinion. In snow and slush this morning and frozen surfaces with snow and ice this afternoon, these tires are way better than the Eagle LS that I had on my F25 X3. Blizzak LM series are better, but the Pirelli all seasons are acceptable. They're not much different than the Blizzak LM performance winter tires I have on my E46.

Quite a bit of snow here in NJ with freezing rain, and I'm on 20" DWS. I must say my car is a tank. I literally plow through any snow banks and steep hill with snow. Car drift a bit when I accelerate hard on the corner but it comes right back on when I lift the gas. DWS has been superb so far.
