I think I’ll be good with cat, stock exhaust and WITHOUT resonator. What was the advertised Horsepower and Torque totals for your tune? Tunezilla Stage 1 Advertises: 315 HP 526 Ft/lbs Torque |

Yeah, doubt all 4 under road hazard. Unless you can bend them around to the BMW spec lol. Had a new tire put on rear right by dealer pre purchase in March due to a nail and had post purchase inspection at another BMW dealer local. They said either 2/32 or 4/32 of differential was ok for mine. Your probably in that range, but I’m leaning toward new set earlier than needed anyway partly because they say these differentials are very sensitive to asymmetric wear, so another excuse for fresh Pirellis! Nice those are solid HP/Torque gains. I wonder how close advertisement is to reality. Sounds realistic. Have been trying to find a Dyno to test mine on afterwards but no one has an AWD dyno that I can find! Any tips on finding AWD dyno welcome. Thx for info, let us know how you like new performance! How are stock brakes post tune. Considering MPBK big brakes after, cuz might as well pay triple lol 🤦‍♂️ Edit/Correction: watched video, dealer inspector said because they are same tires, then fine, didn’t comment on difference in tread depth but personally I’d guess 2/32 differential is good. |

Dyno...I should find one, be interesting to confirm the numbers first hand (once the tires are safe lol) Breaks....yea since mine are about to need to go, $1k for the normal replacements or $3k for the retrofits here...I think going all in would be more fun ![]() |

Morning, how’s the setup running? Noticed quite a bit of exhaust smoke in your video, maybe that’s typical. Seemed like each engine rev put out a consistent amount of smoke. What do you think about that? Did that go away after it warmed up? Does it do that constantly at idle? I imagine at higway speed its pretty much gone or irrelevant. But on startup sitting in the car and at a traffic light I’d be more concerned about. Especially since I prefer windows down A/C cranked in Texas heat! I hear it is more in cold. What outdoor temperature was your video taken at? Much appreciated |

I am considering this same setup, except I think with your feedback I can skip the resonator and just do the cat. Have been planning to do just Stage 1 since power gains are quite awesome and Stage 2 is not much more that way I am not pushing my luck. Doing all this work to get longevity and less maintenance plus enjoy it for next 6 years, 100k miles. Mine is 2018 only 57.7k miles. What do you think about doing Stage 2 versus Stage 1? Pros/Cons. Could you post an exhaust video? How’s tailpipe smoke at startup and at a stop light? Much appreciated! |

Any updates on what you notice on exhaust smoke later on after more driving would be excellent. Sounds like just on cold start though…. |

Thought I’d add this video into the mix. It’s an E70 X5, granted there’s probably a lot out there on those and I haven’t paid much attention cuz into the F15s but if you like this then, you should really love your F15 cuz this is awesome and yet F15 better in every way. Ha
He calls the diesel BMWs,” diesels best kept secret”. Quite an excellent claim and cites some diesel experience to back it up. Says he straight piped this one, no exhaust. Sounds pretty damn good. Personally I’ll stick with muffler no resonator. Claims tuned to 355 HP and 580 Torque. 188k miles on it. |

Hello everyone, I owe an update on this:
DONE And Totally BadAss For reference, boring video first. Sorry for crap video but audio is the point. This is good reference because video shot in same location/same method so acoustics will be comparable. Audio BEFORE https://rumble.com/v5eqpbo-x5-35d-sound-before.html Audio AFTER https://rumble.com/v5eqqk3-x5-35d-sound-after.html Exhaust Appearance, Better Video/Audio AFTER https://rumble.com/v5eqr6q-x5-35d-ex...dio-after.html Dramatic Audio Garage Acoustics AFTER https://rumble.com/v5eqs45-x5-35d-ga...ics-after.html There’s a LOT more but just warming up first! Let me know your questions. Later |

Pretty sure you can, but check around with others who know the mechanics better. Many were using Racechip I think it’s called, so a tune could probably be done also. Not sure if they were diesels though. I would at minimum monitor health of DPF with Bimmercode.

UPDATE:
At 66.5K miles today. 4,200 miles since delete/tune. No problems with tune and delete so far, no codes, except the below which don’t quite count. Prior to tuning I wanted to know what other components should be upgraded to maintain longevity performance?? What are effects of extra torque on reliability? Answer I got was not much at all, so reporting these new considerations. 1- upgrade front drive shaft. See Tony’s custom driveshaft on forums. Since this is part of powertrain experiencing extra torque and is already prone to major catastrophic failure, I decided to upgrade to the model Tony commissioned before issue occured. 2- valve cover and gasket oil leak. At 65K miles BMW found and replaced entire valve cover and gasket due to oil leak. Luckily, my extended warranty paid for this. it might not be caused by the tune rather by my driving style of stomping the accelerator regularly. It seems this car has failures of rubber in general around the six or seven year mark, despite being relatively low mileage. Previously Rear air springs were replaced, both front motor mounts were collapsed and replaced transfer case mount near transmission. All of these are rubber so I assume time has an impact on this rubber nut necessarily mileage, but leaks are no surprise to me and valve cover is a typical thing on BMWs apparently overtime, but sooner than I expected. Note you can still get Rawtek stuff to the US through Aftermath Tuning.

![]() Just about done with mine and need to figure out what to do with the two sensors in the midpipe section, #7 in the diagram here: Attachment 1 I'm assuming they're temperature probes, and they're very stuck. Can I just cut them? Also, I've removed the SCR injector at the hose disconnect and will be removing the control module behind the headlight. Is that hose disco self-sealing? Wondering if I need to plug it. |

All those sensors can go at #7. They usually are very stuck, some PB blaster overnight + heat you can eventually get them. You can trace back to the module and unhook them there which is a bit more work. The SCR Hose is not self sealing but you can empty the tank and plug everything if you don’t wanna work to remove it. If something gets in the hose after you’ve removed the SCR, it shouldn’t matter. I tried to completely remove everything I could; reduce clutter, extra lines and some weight I guess. Jupiter is a good resource, reach out. helped me some. |
